A few of us attended the show at Brooklands, we saw what remained of the banked concrete track used for early motoring and record breaking events from the 1930’s. There is loads to see in the various museums which are scattered around including a aircraft exhibition which includes a concorde, for a small fee you can go on board and look around. There are also exhibits of many car related items from 1917 onwards.

We met up with Darren and Jenny (from the Italian Job) they have done this event many times. They where there in their latest car, you can see it on the cover of a Mini Mag and inside you can read all about it.

The show was not the biggest and there were a limited amount of trade stands, but we watched some mini’s trying to do the hillclimb, this is a famous event of old. It was quite apparent that the older you were the easier you got up the hill (less of a racer). Most made it but there was a couple that needed help. The car park had lots of mini’s for you to look at. All in all this is a great day out.
