Hopefully by the time you read this we will have finished the club van and it should be earning it’s living taking the club’s items to the shows, the first being IMM 2009.It has been a long hard slog but I would like to thank everyone (especially Russ) for their help and all the donations which have helped to put this van Together.

Now we are ready to use the van we have to tackle the subject of insurance. Obviously we want to make sure that anyone using the van behaves themselves and treats the van with respect, its not meant to be ragged around its got a job to do taking the club stuff to shows that’s what we intend to use it for. So with that in mind we approached several companies for quotes. This gave us a pretty good idea of how best to insure the van whilst keeping the cost down.

The van will be placed on a Classic Car policy with limited mileage with a couple of named drivers. It will be fully comp. However if anyone drives it they will be driving it under their own insurance (you can drive someone else's car with their permission) just check you have this clus on your policy , we will need proof before you drive it. We will be keeping a log of who drove it when and where and what mileage was done. This is to protect you all.
